PITTSBURGH, PA, Jan. 25, 2018 /PR.com/ — Part of the Barberry Ridge Home Health mission is to improve the health and well-being of communities served.  The Pittsburgh North Hills company accomplishes this not only through the home care, companion and personal care services they provide, they do it through volunteerism and community engagement with other local agencies and nonprofit organizations.

On January 25, 2018 the staff of Barberry Ridge Home Health delivered hot meals to elderly residents of Ross Township through the Meals on Wheels volunteer program.  For over 30 years the West View Meals on Wheels kitchen has been serving the community by preparing and providing meals to residents in need of the service.  The kitchen in West View serves over 35,000 meals per year with a volunteer staff of over 70.

Barberry Ridge Home Health recognizes that communities thrive when there is communication, cooperation and volunteerism throughout the support network.  This relationship spans home care and home health organizations like Barberry Ridge Home Health, the medical provider communities, and nonprofits like Meals on Wheels.

The team looks forward to their next volunteer opportunity and spending time with the great folks at West View Meals on Wheels.
